Masindi Chief Magistrate's Court Holds District Chain-Linked Committee Meeting
Masindi Chief Magistrate's Court yesterday held the District Chain-Linked Committee (DCC) meeting at the Court premises. The meeting was chaired by the outgoing Chief Magistrate, HW Kosia Kasibayo, who expressed gratitude to all justice sector stakeholders for their continued cooperation and support throughout his tenure.
The meeting brought together a wide range of justice sector actors, including the District Police Commander (DPC)Masindi, the Officer-in-Charge CID Masindi, the Officer-in-Charge Masindi Main Prisons, the Chief State Attorney, and the Commandant of Kabalye Police Training School. Also in attendance were the Assistant Registrar, HW Juliet Nakitende, representatives of Advocates, Bailiffs, the Probation Office, the Remand Home, and court staff.
Each institution presented its quarterly report, outlining achievements, challenges, and recommendations aimed at enhancing justice service delivery. Discussions focused on strengthening inter-agency coordination, improving case management, and addressing delays affecting vulnerable court users.
During the meeting, members congratulated HW Kosia Kasibayo upon his well-deserved promotion to the position of Deputy Registrar, and extended their best wishes for success in his new role. Stakeholders commended his leadership, commitment, and collaborative approach in steering the DCC and fostering strong working relations among justice actors in Masindi.
HW Kasibayo thanked members for the warm gesture and encouraged them to continue supporting one another to advance access to justice within the district.
